El Faro Incident

Tragically, TOTE Maritime lost a ship carrying 25 million pounds of cargo and all crew members at sea off the coast of Puerto Rico. Yuit managed the company’s public communications, writing much of it ourselves, to issue updates and correct inaccuracies through multiple channels, including social media, press releases and website updates. The company was publicly questioned about issues such as over-reliance on technology and adequate crew training. Our team responded quickly with facts and evidence to reassure the public and maintain customers’ and stakeholders’ confidence in the company.
